Beers Consultancy is a specialist real estate consultancy dedicated to ensuring the safety, compliance, and integrity of buildings throughout their lifecycle. With over 19 years of industry experience, we help clients navigate complex regulations and adapt to an evolving legislative landscape.

Since the Grenfell Tower tragedy, fire safety and building compliance have remained top priorities across the sector.

Our team has been at the forefront of delivering assessment programmes, managing remediation projects, and guiding clients through significant regulatory change. Today, this includes supporting compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, the Government’s Remediation Acceleration Plan, and legally binding self-remediation terms for developers. With enforcement powers expanding and statutory deadlines approaching, the need for proactive action has never been greater.

Nick Beers BSc (HONS) MRICS AIFireE MIFSM

Nick brings over 19 years of experience across the commercial and residential property sectors, delivering a comprehensive range of surveying services. His expertise includes building surveys, planned maintenance strategies, reinstatement cost assessments (RCA), defect analysis, and project management.

As a recognised fire safety specialist, Nick holds the RICS External Wall System (EWS) Assessor qualification and is competent to undertake Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW) in accordance with PAS 9980. He has led large-scale programmes for high-risk residential portfolios, including external wall assessments, EWS1 forms, and FRAEWs. Nick also has extensive experience managing Building Safety Fund (BSF) and Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) projects, reviewing remediation proposals, advising on Building Safety Act 2022 compliance, and preparing Building Safety Case Reports.

Nick’s unique combination of technical construction knowledge, project management expertise, and deep understanding of fire safety legislation enables him to deliver practical, proportionate solutions for clients navigating complex compliance and remediation challenges.

Before founding Beers Consultancy, Nick spent eight years at a leading UK building surveying practice and later served as Head of Building and Fire Safety Services. He also completed a three-year secondment with one of the UK’s most prominent institutional investors, acting as lead consultant on their building and fire safety programme.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys family time on the Dorset coast and open-water swimming in Weymouth.
